The Joe's/V4/V4Net/V5 software runs under the MIT license, also called X11 license, as printed in below box.

The above printed MIT/X11 license is so nice short.
But it does not cover our precise wishes.
So we may change to a license like the
GNU GPL,
or we may introduce specifications as seen in the
Paint.NET license
in the future.
Until then, please note this additional box:

We expect, that you obey to our actual intentions,
which are told here in humble non-layer words:

Furthermore, in Joe's/V4/V4Net/V5, third party licenses are involved as listed below.
Copyright © Corel Corporation: Paradox 9. The installer version of V4 comes with Paradox 9 Runtime, the free redistributable Paradox engine. You don't need think about. Only if you want edit the V4 sorcecode, you need your own full Paradox 9, which is to purchase.
Copyright © Borland Corporation: The Borland Database Engine. It comes free with the Paradox 9 Runtime in the installer version of V4/V4Net/Joes. On many machines it is already installed unrecognized with any other product accessing Paradox tables.
Copyright © Data Design AG: The DDBAC COM Objects. They do HBCI communication with the bank. If you don't have those modules on your machine, you can run V4/V4Net/Joes anyway, just not talk HBCI.
The GNU GPL is protecting several third party modules contained in Joe's/V4/V4Net/V5. The end user does not need think about, since our MIT/X11 license is compatible with their GPL. Only a developer wanting to make use of special features of the MIT/X11, must have a closer look to the details.
For deeper insights into licensing in general,
please see the chapter

Or just ask us.
<!-- This chapter was written quickly. Some details about third party modules are still missing. But the cornerstones are told. -->
